A Note from Seminary...

Today I am sitting at my desk pondering what I have gotten into. Overwhelmed by reading and writing assignments, I happened into an Advent devotional. Advent is only six Sundays away. With all that is on my plate, will I be able to slow down and reflect upon the season in a manner which is meaningful to me? Will I be able to prepare sermons which will bring to life the story of a baby in a manger? Will I do as I have told others in times of crisis? Take time to breath?

Yet I am reminded of the Festive greeting of African Christians... God is Good, All the Time! He is good in our reading and our writing. Our peace and our panic. Our business and our rest.

Lord prepare in me a right heart... one in which I can breath and acknowledge that You are good, all the time!
